Many conference participants will come from far. The conference organisation is aware of extra CO2 emissions caused by travelling. Therefore we would like to advise you to travel by train if you live at a night trains’ distance or less from Rotterdam. If you have to fly, there are several ways to off-set your CO2 emissions.

How to get at the conference centre?

The conference centre is within walking distance (10 minutes) of the Rotterdam central railway station and is easy to reach via Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Schiphol Airport, only forty minutes away, or using the high-speed rail link from Brussels, London or Paris.

Train and bus tickets

The OV chipcard (OV-chipkaart) is the ticket for public transport in the Netherlands. We advise you to buy a single use OV-chip card.

For the conference venue, please take the subway and get off at station 'Beurs', exit Beursplein.


You can also take the tram to the conference venue: tramline 8 (heading towards Kleiweg), 21 (heading towards De Esch), 23 (heading towards Beverwaard), 24 (heading towards De Esch) or 25 (heading towards Carnisselande). Get off at the Coolsingel, stop 'Beurs', in front of ABN-AMRO Bank.
