Adaptation Futures 2016 is about climate change and adaptation. This obliges the organisation even more to minimise the carbon footprint of the conference. Carbon dioxide emissions will be reduced through efficiency and conservation in the use of electricity, paper, supplies and travel. Not only will we do an effort to minimise the carbon footprint, we also look at issues of social responsibility, pollution and water saving.
Many conference participants will come from far. Travelling causes considerable CO2 emissions. If you travel by train you emit much less CO2 than travelling by plane. Therefore we would like to advise you taking the train if you live at a day or night trains’ distance or less from Rotterdam.
There are good connections between Rotterdam and cities like London, Vienna, Marseille, Prague, Warsawa or Milano.
